Hi Guys, I missed my regular posting date, but I do have a new quick card to post today. Really that's about all the time I have is for a quick card, so this will have to satisfy those creative juices I have flooding my head right now. In response to #67 challenge from
Hiding in My Craftroom I made a card from scraps. I just bought several of Tim Holtz dies (I only own 6 at the present time) and I wanted to see what they looked like on paper, so I used them all on a banner that I had left from the last card I made. The distress ink colors on the banner are fired brick, peeled paint, tea dye, spiced marmalade, victorian velvet and I went around the edge with black soot. I liked the look so much that I decided to spray it with of my two favorite glimmer mists, Dazzling Diamonds and Daffodil. (Who am I kidding, all the glimmer mist colors are my favorite, it just depends on the project I am working on) Then I decided to give it a little texture by crinkling it up while it was wet, and then drying it with my heat gun. I love the effect, you can just see a little shimmer on it when the light hits it. I also had 2 circles left over from the last card so I used the Tim Holtz stapler to staple the entire thing together. I used a stamp from my Close To My Heart collection and letters from Recollections Glitter Alphabet for the "We are" title in the circle. A scrap from Recollections black card stock was used for the base of the card along with 3 Pearlescent Goodie Box Jewel Tone pearls. I plan to make several cards and give them to the Office Administrator at our church to mail to the sick and shut in. For a quick and easy scrap project, I think it came out pretty darn good!

So, until next time, Happy Scrappin'.
